Kuchu Shiners Uganda is championing efforts to reduce Gender Based Violence among Key Populations Through training's Over View Contd 57% of PWID, 44% OF FSWs, and 4% of MSM were arrested or beaten by police officers in the past six months. Violence reduces the chances for safe sex negotiation and condom use of services, therefore HIV prevalence among MARPs is high. Among FSWs in uganda, 83% were abused by their clients in the last six months. Out of these abused ,45% experienced physical abuse, 50%experienced forced sexual acts, 72%were never paid for their sexual acts. Among MSM in uganda, 47%reported violence because of their sexual orientation, National prevealence is estimatedat 60% among women and 52.7% among men of reproductive age*15to49*.

Transgenders in rural areas of Uganda like Mubenda and Mityana face many difficulties with their sexual orientation and gender identity, so kuchu shiners Uganda with his partner UHAI, carried out a community dialogue on human rights awareness to teach  and train them on how to defend themselves on some of the issues facing them in they day life about their gender identities.

This time around our theme is about creating awareness and understanding of health issues and human rights of transgender individuals in Ugandan rural areas. Kuchu Shiners Uganda a Transgender organisation held a staff meeting with the trans members to talk about the coming activities and projects to be conducted in the coming period in order to strength the work of the organization and to ease the community work in the community.

Legal Aid Camp with Our partner organization Hrapf which was held to teach our fellow members who don't know there rights and governing them in the community, so hrapf to the opportunity and taught them and how to avoid prosecutions with the police officers.
