Adults, take an HIV test so that get to know your status.
If you test
negative and the vast majority of Ugandans are, you should continue to lead a
lifestyle of self-restraint that does not expose you to the risk of infection.
Avoid sex relationships with people whose HIV status you do not know. Ensure
that if tempted outside this safe zone you use a condom. But remember that
condom use is not full proof.
Male circumcision can help decrease your risk of
contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted infections. But you must
remember that protection is not absolute. If you don’t observe the behaviors in the first bullet point above you will for sure get infected so to avoid that
